Singcord ZLP 938. 1974. LP
Back cover copy:
All songs on this album were written by Floyd Robinson.
Floyd Robinson, nationally known writer and recording artist and more
recently Song Evangelist, has discovered that there is a need for child
evangelism. So Floyd has taken his little friend Charlie the Hamster
and Charlie's cousins Huey and Stanley and recorded them singing Bible
Stories.
Floyd says it is essential that children have a knowledge of the
Bible at an early age, as he believes in the verse of scripture: "Train
up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart
from it." However it is very difficult to keep a young child's attention
long enough to teach him the Bible.
Charlie the Hamster has proven successful to thousands of children
in accomplishing this purpose.
You will notice that Charlie has no problem keeping the attention
of a child for many hours.
The children are learning while being entertained.
The Bible Stories on this album are written prayerfully directly
from the Bible.
Floyd Robinson, the inventor of Charlie the Hamster has been in
the music business for most of his life. He started on the Grand
Ole Opry at the age of sixteen and travelled all over the country with
such artists as Eddy Arnold, George Morgan, Little Jimmy Dickens and many
others. Floyd has recorded with Jim Reeves, George Jones, Webb Pierce,
and many others.
He has been booked for shows with such stars as Johnny Cash, Fabian,
Elvis Presley.
Floyd recorded his own songs for RCA Victor for many years, and
had a smash hit selling close to the million mark.
Following this he played on many coast to coast network shows such
as The Dick Clark Show, Hootenanny, etc.

FLOYD: Charlie, let's give all of the boys and girls
some good advice. You want to do that?
Say A Prayer
Say a prayer before you go to sleep
Say a prayer before you start to eat
Say a prayer in everything you do
Say a prayer because God wants you to
God wants to be a part of everything you do
When you're busy workin' and busy playin' too
He wants to be a part of happiness and strife
He even wants to be a part of your whole life
Say a prayer before you go to sleep
Say a prayer before you start to eat
Say a prayer in everything you do
Say a prayer because God wants you to
God loves you more than you will ever know
So take him with you everywhere you go
Don't leave him out of anything you do
And keep him number one, becasue God wants you to
Say a prayer before you go to sleep
Say a prayer before you start to eat
Say a prayer in everything you do
Say a prayer because God wants you to
